Warranty FAQ

Will drilling a hole through the product to install blinds or curtains void the warranty?
Not as long as it did not contribute to a defect in the frame, sash, or glass package.

How does your warranty transfer if I sell my house?
The warranty is non-transferrable.

How do I get covered with the warranty?
The coverage begins immediately after purchasing the product.

Is there anything that can void my warranty?
Warranty will be voided if:

  • Window and door units are not installed according to Seemray LLC installation standards as outlined in our installation manual.
  • Proper maintenance of the hardware is not performed (oiling of the hardware twice per calendar year)
  • Windows and doors are not fully covered with 6mill plastic right after installation is complete until the end of the renovation/build project. Plastic should cover the full surface of the window including hinges.
  • Weep holes are not checked for dirt build-up and cleaned, if necessary, every 6 months-12 months. 
  • Units are not installed by a licensed contractor. 

How do I file a claim?
Use the Contact Us form to file a claim. Please include all relevant information for your order (order number, date, unit details, etc).

Will installing the product myself void the warranty?
No, as long as you are a licensed contractor and you follow the Installation Manual provided by Seemray.
